We found close to 200 reviews online and the average user rating is approximately 4 stars. Some of the negative reviews came from people that don’t particularly like filters that ionize the air because the ionization process releases small amounts of ozone however these machines release just a tiny amount of ozone and it is not a concern for most users.
The other common complaint and the reason for a lot of the negative reviews was that there is a strange plastic or chemical type smell coming from this machine. A lot of people were very concerned by this and some people even returned this machine because of it but the manufacturer says that the smell is from an antimicrobial coating and that running the unit for approximately 24 hours will eliminate the odor.
