The reviews for the IQAir HealthPro Plus HEPA Air Purifier are pretty good but they are a bit mixed. On Amazon.com the HealthPro Plus received a 3.9 star rating out of a possible 5 stars which is not terrible but not great either. On other sites, the reviews were better. We found one site that had seven reviews and 6 out of the 7 were 5 stars and one was 4 stars. Another site we found had 30 user reviews and 29 out of the 30 reviewers said they would recommend this product to a friend.

On Amazon.com there were a few 1 and 2 star reviews that brought the overall average down. It seems like some of the people had buyers remorse because their main reason for giving the HealthPro Plus a poor review was that it was too expensive which is really unfair because these people knew the price before they purchased the machine. The most common reason for a lot of the negative reviews was that the IQAir HealthPro Plus HEPA Air Purifier emits a foul odor. However, one reviewer contacted the manufacturer and got the following explanation for the bad smell.

The smell comes from the V5 filter which is an activated charcoal filter. The charcoal absorbs odors from the air whether the machine is running or not. A number of factors can cause these odors, factors such as where the machine has been stored, how long it has been in storage, how it is shipped etc. During the time in storage and shipping the charcoal filter can pick up a number of odors and will even release these odors the first few times you use the machine. A lot of people that left positive reviews for the IQAir HealthPro Plus HEPA Air Purifier said that they noticed odors at first but that the odors went away after a few days of use.

Despite some negative reviews the number of positive reviews greatly outnumber the negative comments by a pretty significant margin. People are saying that this machine does in fact do a good job of removing odors from the air and some people say that they no longer smelled smoke coming from the neighbor’s apartments. A lot of people are also reporting tremendous relief from allergy symptoms. A number of people are saying that the IQAir HealthPro Plus HEPA Air Purifier is by far the best air purifier they have ever used and would highly recommend it to anyone else that wants to breathe cleaner air.

IQAir Perfect 16 Reviews:

There are not a lot of reviews from actual consumers of this product online.  This is understandable though because we are not talking about a $15 toaster oven here we are looking at a whole house air purification system that will cost approximately $2500 to $3000.  Any item that requires this type of investment is going to sell to a smaller number of people and therefore there will be fewer customer reviews available online to help you make your buying decision.

The good news is that the few reviews that we did find were all very positive and gave the IQAir Perfect 16 whole house air purifier very high marks.  One reviewer said that although her expectations were high before, after the system was installed she was “awestruck”.  Not only does this air purifier do the job it claims it can do, it does it silently and efficiently.  This air purifier is not cheap but the price does include professional installation and the fact that the filters will not need to be changed for up to three years will be a big money saver.

A drawback to this particular air purifier is that your home must have an existing forced air system in order to use it.  Also, your HVAC system needs to be running in order to purify the air.
