The Austin Air HealthMate is able to clean the air in an area up to 1500 square feet. It circulates over 400 cubic feet of air every minute, passing this large volume of air through 15 pounds of activated carbon and over 60 square feet of true medical grade HEPA material.
The Austin Air HealthMate uses a 4 stage filtration system. The first stage I is a large particle prefilter that removes particles large enough to be easily seen by the naked eye. Stage II is a medium particle prefilter which removes small to medium sized particles such as mold spores and pollen. Stage III uses activated carbon to remove chemicals, gases and odors. Stage IV uses a HEPA filter to remove harmful microorganisms.

The Reviews
We only found a couple dozen reviews online for the Austin Air HealthMate but the reviews that we did find were outstanding. Most reviewers had great things to say about this product and there were only a couple of negative comments. One of the negative reviews came from someone that said they have “lots of cats”. They said that when they run this air purifier the smell goes away for a little while but then comes back. That makes us wonder exactly how many cats “a lot of cats” is.
Another negative review came from a person that gave the Austin Air HealthMate a 1 star rating because it arrived damaged but this person went on to say “I would recommend it, as the best air purifier on the market. I recently purchased another, so now we have one on each floor. We are breathing much better! “– That does not sound like a 1 star review to us.
Many reviewers stated that the Austin Air HealthMate is the best air purifier they have ever owned. One reviewer said that one large unit is enough for their entire house and that it reduces or eliminates odors from their cat’s litter box. They also said that if they are away from the house for a few days the Austin Air HealthMate makes stale air fresher when they return home.
This air purifier is a little bit loud on the highest setting but is whisper quiet on its lowest setting. This air purifier is easy to use right out of the box and the filter will last up to 5 years before it needs to be replaced. With all the glowing reviews that we found online we would highly recommend the Austin Air HealthMate and we give it a 5 star rating.

I have this machine about three months and I am very happy. Indeed, it is pretty big but I’ve put in a corner room and not seen. recommended for those who want to buy an air purifier to buy it and with confidence.
